Christmas Concerts Set for This Week

The University Singers are one of the groups scheduled to perform Christmas concerts this week.

Many would say that listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving is an unpardonable sin, yet that rule does not ring true for the music department at Southwestern Adventist University.  The music groups of Southwestern have been preparing for upcoming Christmas concerts months in advance.  All people are invited to catch the Christmas spirit at the three concerts taking place this week.

On Thursday a recital featuring the music students of Southwestern starts at 7 p.m. and will take place at the Wharton Auditorium in the Mabee Center.  Voice, clarinet, piano, trumpet, guitar, and flute students will perform.

The Christmas Chorale concert is scheduled for Friday night in the main sanctuary of the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Starting at 8 p.m., it will feature the Mizpah Choraliers and the University Singers.  On Saturday at 11 a.m. the Southwestern Wind Symphony will perform their annual Christmas concert.  The Wind Symphony concert will also take place in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church.

All Christmas concert events are free to the public.
