Revival Series Begins Tonight

Spiritual weekend activities include vespers, afterglow, Sabbath school, church, and a revival series.

This weekend marks the beginning of the revival series, “Let the Word Speak,” starting tonight. Gilson Oliveira will lead out with the message, “Hope is on the Way,” at the Keene SDA Church starting at 7:30 p.m. Afterglow will follow in the Evans Hall Auditorium at 9 p.m. It will feature a special Friday night concert by Oakwood University’s gospel choir: Dynamic Praise.

Sabbath school is at its regular time (10 a.m.) in the Student Center. Pastor Russ Laughlin will be speaking and a breakfast snack will be served.

For church, there will be two different sermons by Elder Bill Kilgore’s homiletics students. At 9 a.m., Olga Vaiangina will be delivering the message “The Wages of Sin Is Death…But” while at 11:30 a.m., Justin Tonga will be preaching on the topic “Jesus is Coming: Are You Ready?” Ending the Sabbath, Alvaro Montalvo will preach at 7:30 p.m.
