Powder Puff Football Scheduled For Saturday

Sophomore class, in yellow, play against the Freshmen class for the championship in Powder Puff Football.

The second annual Powder Puff Football games are Saturday night, Sept. 15. Southwestern students compete, class against class, to win the football championship. The catch: ladies play while men cheer and perform halftime shows.

Opening ceremonies are at 8 p.m. Then the games start at 8:30 p.m. with freshmen against juniors. After that, at 9:30 p.m., the sophomores play the seniors. Championship games starts at 10:30 p.m.

Class colors are as follows. Freshmen wear green, sophomores wear yellow, juniors wear powder blue and seniors wear pink.

“Come out, support the ladies and check out the ‘legendary’ Southwestern men performing their halftime shows,” says Daniel Leach, assistant to the vice president for student services.

There will be free food and the chance for students to win prizes. Students may sign up in either the men’s or women’s residence halls.
