Alumni Activities Highlight Weekend

Spiritual weekend events include alumni vespers, afterglow, Ride 2Recovery, Lifehouse Sabbath School, alumni church, outreach, AY youth service, Homecoming vespers, Sunday’s student missions pancake breakfast, and the CABL color run.

Friday night worship will begin at 8 in the Keene SDA church with a Spring Chorale Concert. Afterglow will follow in the Student Center and will be hosted by Women’s Club with an evening of fellowship and an ice cream buffet.

On Saturday morning at 8:30, Ride2Recovery will ride through Keene on Old Betsy. Ride2Recovery benefits mental and physical rehabilitation programs for our country’s wounded veterans that features cycling as the core activity.

At 9:00 a.m. first church service will begin in the Keene SDA Church. The speaker will be Dan Houghton with the message of Not Yet.

Lifehouse Sabbath School begins at 10 a.m. in the student center led by Austen Powell with a lesson study from Raphael Cabrera and the Biology Club.

Second church service will follow Sabbath school in the Keene SDA church at 11:30 a.m. The speaker will be Al Booker with the message of Accept the Lord; Build the House.

This week’s Sabbath Afternoon Outreach will be a Huguley Hospital Visitation led by Pierre Ortiz. Anyone interested should meet at the library steps at 3 p.m.

At the same time, the homecoming campus center grand opening will begin in the center of campus between Barron Building & The Committee of 100 Cafeteria.

The AY service entitled, What’s Your Identity?, will begin at 6 p.m. in the Wharton Auditorium. This will be the last AY Service of the year.

Closing out the Sabbath will be Homecoming vespers at the Keene SDA Church at 6:30.

On Sunday morning at 8, the CABL Color Run will begin at the student center; registration begins at 7:30 a.m. All proceeds go to support the CABL (Collegiate Adventists for Better Living) Club.

Then at 8:30 a.m., Student Missions will be hosting a pancake breakfast at the student center until 10:30 a.m. The meal will be $6 and all proceeds go to support Student Missions.
