88.3 The Journey Blesses a “Sole” in Need
88.3 The Journey celebrated its one-year anniversary on Nov. 17. Grateful for Gods blessings throughout the first year, they decided to find a way to give back to the community. “Bless a sole in need” was the solution, a sock drive just in time for winter weather.
The sock drive kicked off with an open house at 88.3 The Journey. People could bring their new socks, and enjoy a snack and conversation with the station staff. Socks could also be donated at various Pinnacle Bank locations within Johnson County.
During the drive, 1,429 socks were donated for Harvest House in Burleson, and Operation Blessing in Cleburne.
“For those that donated to the sock drive, thank you for your generosity and for going out of your way to help,” says Mike Agee, general manager of 88.3 The Journey. “The success of ‘Bless a Sole in Need’ is one of the many things I’m Thankful for this year. Without the prayers and donations of our listeners, the sock drive, let alone 88.3 The Journey, would never be possible.”
