Missions Week To End with Fair
This year’s Missions Week will end Saturday afternoon with Missions Fair.
The weekend begins with students, faculty and staff hearing more about missions during vespers Friday at 8 p.m. Speaker will be Michelle DePaiva. The event will include representation of many languages and cultures represented at Southwestern, as well as the annual Procession of the Flags.
Afterglow will meet in the new Student Center at 9:30 p.m. hosted by the Missions Club. Each week a different organization or club on campus will host Afterglow in partnership with the Office of Spiritual Life & Development.
Sabbath school will begin Saturday morning at 10 in the new Student Center. A breakfast snack will be served. Students are encouraged to bring their Bibles.
Church service begins at 11:30 a.m. in Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor Mic Thurber will speak on “Beginning with the End in Mind.”
At 3 p.m. on Saturday, the Missions Club will host a Missions Fair in Meadows Gallery and the lobby of the Chan Shun Centennial Library. Students are invited to visit many cultural booths. Food and entertainment from around the world will be provided.
Evensong begins at 7 p.m. in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church, featuring the Southwestern Brass under the direction of Dr. Rudy Dennis.
