Tennis Tournament Scheduled for Sunday

Southwestern tennis courts are located at the Callicott Student Park and across the street from Scales Hall.

Southwestern Adventist University’s third annual tennis tournament is Sunday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. The tournament will take place at the Callicott Student Park. All students are invited and the event is free.

“Tennis tournament is a fun way for students to get together and meet other people who play tennis,” says Vesa Naukkarinen, professor of kinesiology. “Hopefully they can continue to play even after the tournament.”

All a student must do to participate is show up on time with a tennis racket.

Players will be broken into groups of four and play against each other. The winners of each group will then move on to the next round and play against winners of other groups.

Last year’s tournament champion was Andrej Villania, sophomore at Southwestern.
