SWAT Fundraises For Warm-Ups
(Edited by Brisa Ramirez and Jaime Baldwin)
Acrofest will occur November 13 to 15 this year. This event is open to gymnastics teams from Seventh-day Adventist academies and universities. The location changes each year. Last year it was at Southwestern, and this year it will be at Southern Adventist University. This event brings teams together to learn from one another and improve in various forms of acrobatics.
The Southwestern Acrobatic Team (SWAT) is in the process of raising money to buy team warm-ups. The team is currently offering manual labor services, which include but are not limited to yard work, cleaning, and helping people move. The team will be working on a minimum donation base of $50. Exceptions can be made depending on services rendered. The team is willing to work hard in any capacity.
Aside from offering manual labor services, SWAT is also selling t-shirt sponsorships. Each sponsor’s name or logo will be printed on the back of a SWAT team shirt. Sponsorships will not be displayed on all team apparel, such as team warm-ups and performance attire. Sponsorships are $100 each, and payment must be made in cash or check to Southwestern Acrobatics. Each sponsor will also receive a complimentary t-shirt from the team as a token of appreciation.
