Rough Writers to Hold First Meeting This Thursday
Do you enjoy writing? Do you have an interest in poetry, short stories, novels, or scripts? Does a place where you can create, share, and discuss ideas with others excite you? If so, then there is a club on SWAU’s campus that is perfect for you.
It’s called Rough Writers and for eleven years its purpose has been to provide a space for writers to connect creatively with other writers. The club gives you the opportunity to express and explore your own ideas alongside like-minded peers. It’s a great place for anyone who is looking to receive feedback and constructive criticism that can help advance their skills as a writer and as a storyteller.
Rough Writers is the official club of the English department; however, is not exclusive to English majors or those who enjoy writing. If you enjoy reading or listening in on discussions, then you will find just as much enjoyment. The first club meeting will be Thursday, Aug. 30 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the library classroom on the main floor. See you there!
