LIFE Sabbath School Meets Weekly
The LIFE Sabbath school service meets every Saturday at 10 a.m. in Evans Hall Auditorium. The acronym LIFE stands for “Living In Faith Everyday.” Presenters for each topic are faculty and will change for each week of the semester. Sabbath school is usually preceded by a free breakfast, courtesy of Southwestern’s spiritual development Department.
On Sabbath, Nov. 6, Dr. Karl Wilcox, professor of English, will speak on the topic “Abiathar: The Priest”. On Nov. 13, Josue Feliciano will speak on the topic “Joab: David’s Week.” On November 20 and 27, school is out for Thanksgiving Break, so LIFE Sabbath school class does not meet.
On Dec. 4, Islam Mattey, chaplain, will speak on the topic “The Leap of Faith.” And on Dec. 11, Dr. Marcel Sargeant, professor of Education, will speak on the topic “Gehazi: Missing the Mark.”
