Darcy Force

Southwestern Adventist University has named Darcy Force as its new director of marketing and public relations, according to Gary Temple, vice president for university advancement. Force had been serving as assistant director of development for Southwestern for the past year.

A 2004 graduate of Southwestern with a bachelor of business administration degree and an emphasis in small business management, Force served in both development as well as marketing and PR at the academy level. From 2008 until 2010 she was director of alumni and development for Great Plains Academy in Enterprise, Kansas.

She also has a great deal of earlier work experience at Southwestern, serving as student financial services coordinator, student scholarship coordinator and museum docent at the Hopps Museum. She was also president of SIFE during the 2002-2003 school year.

“We’re very pleased that Darcy has accepted this position,” Temple says. “Darcy has set herself apart as having significant artistic talent and expertise in design, as well as being an excellent writer. She’s a leader, and we look forward to a strong marketing and public relations department that will continue to strive toward new levels of success.”

I had the pleasure of being Darcy's supervisor when she lived in Astoria. Darcy is a great person and a hard working individual.
