Southwestern Offers $2,500 Reward for Information on Arson
Southwestern Adventist University is offering a reward of $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for setting fires in one of the residence halls.
Early in the morning on Feb. 15, one or more arsonists set several fires in the bathrooms of Harmon Hall, the main women’s residence hall. The fires were immediately put out and students were briefly evacuated from the building. Eric Anderson, president of Southwestern, said, “Dean Williams and Jobity, along with their resident assistants, responded quickly and appropriately.”
James The, vice president for student services, has been in regular communication with local police in the ongoing investigation, which began immediately. Thankfully, no one was injured and damage to the property was minimal.
Anyone with information regarding these fires should call the Keene Police Department (817-641-7831).
