Department Vespers Set for Friday

Students who keep an eye on the academic calendar should know that department vespers is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 18. Here is an incomplete listing of departments and where and when they will be meeting with their majors.

Please note that if your department is not listed here, it is because that information was not immediately available. When that information is made public, it will be added to the list below:

Biology Club members will attend the “Winter Jam” concert at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Transportation will leave the university library parking lot at 5:30 p.m.

Business Department will meet at Callicott Student Park (the Duck Pond) at 6 p.m. for “hot dogs, salads and s’mores.”

Chemistry/Math/Physics will meet at Dr. Karl Konrad’s home beginning at 6 p.m.

Communication majors will meet at the Studios at Southwestern (the TV station). Barbeque is at 6 p.m.; vespers begins at 7.

Education & Psychology will meet at Harmon Hall basement at 7 p.m. There would be food, songs, Bible games, testimonies, and a special message by Solomon Espinoza.

History/Social Science Department will meet in Pechero Hall student lounge beginning at 6:30 p.m. Dr. Erwin Sicher will tell his own story about his childhood as an Austrian Adventist under Nazi rule. Pizza will be provided.

Music majors will meet at Dr. John Boyd’s house, 205 Mistletoe Lane in Keene beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Nursing students, faculty and staff will meet for vespers 6-8 p.m. in Wharton Auditorium.

Religion Department students will meet in Barron Chapel at 6:30 p.m.
