Anderson to Speak on Heroes for Assembly
Eric Anderson, president of Southwestern Adventist University will speak on heroes for assembly on Thursday, Feb. 10, beginning at 1 p.m.
Following recent discussion regarding Martin Luther King Jr. and the current Black History Month, Anderson feels like the topic allows the University to discuss some important questions.
Anderson says that he plans to discuss who heroes are and how they are chosen, why history often debunks heroes and speaks of their shortcomings, and the concept of Jesus as an only hero versus having a flawed human hero.
Before serving as University president, Anderson taught history for many years at Pacific Union College.
