A Student Shares Her View on iPhone 6
After having an iPhone 5c for six short months, I decided to get the new iPhone 6. After watching the Apple Keynote and seeing that the new iPhone would have a faster processor, better camera, bigger screen, longer battery life, and thinner appearance I was only semi sold. Already having an iPhone, I really did not “need” to get it, but when they introduced the features of Apple Pay, I was sold! With Apple Pay, I’d be able to complete a transaction on my phone and at stores by simply placing my finger on the Home Button. It was just amazing to me. I made up my mind and decided I wanted the phone.
I am not a tech-savvy person, so, in the three weeks that I’ve had the phone, I still haven’t noticed if my iPhone 6 really is faster than the iPhone 5c I had. I also have not noticed the camera or the pictures to be any better or clearer. Being a previous owner of a Galaxy S3, which is a phone of similar size, I did not feel as if the phone was too big. It was a good size for my hands, plus I was used to a big phone. However, I did appreciate the longer battery life. With the iPhone 6, I’m able to have my phone on for 12 hours as I am doing clinicals at the hospital without it dying.
The bigger and faster device is the one for me. I know many might disagree with me, but I don’t see that much of a difference from the older iPhone models. One of the reasons why I upgraded to the iPhone 6 was simply because I could. No, I am not spoiled as many say, nor rich. My phone company allows me to upgrade my phone every six months and I just took advantage of the offer. And I am still patiently waiting to be able to use Apple Pay, which is coming this month. I do like my new iPhone 6. Even though there isn’t much of a difference between this and the last generation, I always appreciate a new thinner and classier phone.
