Lady Knights Volleyball Recap

Lady Knights volleyball team played a home game last Wednesday against Arlington Baptist. They fell short in every set, losing the first set 25-17, digging a hole in the second set and losing 25-6, but showing heart and fight in the final set, making Arlington earn their third and final set 25-18.

Camille Fraser and Taylor Penn’s shoulders must hurt after carrying their team for a combined 15.5 points. Sha’Klya Williams had 11 assists with a total of 4.5 points. The team was most impressive with total attempts (TA); Penn lead with 29, Fraser with 25, Williams with 20 and Eva Wong with 12, showing that this team is capable of playing and fighting.  As the team continues to play the rest of the season, this reporter is comfortable in saying that Penn, Fraser and Willams will continue to do big things, with Wong and Nia Tameifuna (who did not play due to injury) will end up being the unsung heroes.

The Lady Knights will play two home games this week: Thursday against Dallas Christian at 7 p.m. and Friday against Ozark Christian at 1 p.m., so be sure to come out and support the team at either or both games.
