Academic Departments To Host Vespers Tonight

Tonight, instead of making their way to the Keene Church, students will travel in groups to their specified departmental vespers or to a departmental vespers they find interesting. Each department has planned something for the students in their major so that they can spend time with each other, get to know people of similar interest and worship together. Here’s a list of each department and what they will be doing for their vespers.

Psych Ed and Education are combining together to worship together, camp style, at 7 p.m. The vespers will also feature pizza and drinks. They will be meeting in the Amphitheater to have a good time and listen to James The, vice president for student services, give the worship talk. It is advised to bring a blanket to sit on.

History/ Social Science are going to watch a film called Amazing Grace in the Pechero Hall student lounge. They are going to start with pizza at 6:30 p.m. and then dive right into the movie.

Communication students are meeting at Dr. Glen Robinson’s house at 6 p.m. for vegeburgers and vegedogs. There will be rides offered in the library parking lot at 5:45 p.m. for those who don’t have a means of transportation.

Biology Club and Student Nurses Association are hanging out by the Duck Pond at 7:30 p.m. to listen to great music by Jae-Min and here a message from Daniel Reyna. S’mores and beverages will also be served. Everyone is welcomed to join them.

Mathematics and Physical Science are combing with the Biology Club and the Student Association at 7:30pm for their departmental vespers at the duck pond.

ESL and Modern Languages are having a potluck before their vespers. They are meeting in the library parking lot at 7 p.m. for rides to 2000 FM 3048 Cleburne, TX. It is requested that everyone bring a traditional dish of their country to share with others if they can.

English will be meeting at Dr. Judy Laue’s home at 6 p.m. for their departmental vespers.

Business will gather at the Hopps Museum at 5:30 p.m. for their vespers. Haystacks will be served.

Computer Science will be meeting off campus at 105 Brookbank Court in Crowley at 6:20 p.m. for their departmental vespers.

Religion Department will meet at the Barron Chapel at 7 p.m. for their departmental vespers.

Real Healing for Real Brokenness though it is not a department, will also be meeting in Evans Prayer Room at 7 p.m.

If the departments listed was not one of the departments a student is currently a part of, he/she is free to go to another department’s vespers of interest or call his/ her supervisor for more information regarding their departmental vespers.
