Scholarship for Working Parents Is Available

Job-Applications.com is providing a scholarship for working parents currently enrolled in higher education. Each school year, a working parent receives $1,000 toward college tuition costs. There is no fee for the application.

To apply, students must simply write a 600- to 1000-word essay clearly outlining three keys to successfully balancing parenthood, working, and excelling in school.

The Working Parent College Scholarship Award program is open to any person who:

  • Is a full or part-time student in an accredited U.S. post-secondary educational institution (including, but not limited to, college, university, trade school, or a similarly accredited program) with a current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher;
  • Has worked an average of at least twelve hours for each of the previous four weeks at the time of applying;
  • Is a residential parent of at least on minor child;
  • Is a legal resident of the United States of America;
  • Is currently enrolled and furthering his or her education at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution or program;
  • Is 18 years or older at the time of applying; and
  • Completes and submits the official application form within the relevant periods for the periodic scholarships to be awarded.

Deadline for this scholarship is Dec. 15, 2013. Awards will be issued by Dec. 20, 2013.
