Southwestern Adventist University’s Mizpah Choralier members will present their annual Christmas concert on Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church.
For the third consecutive year, the Choraliers will perform Angus Dei by Michael W. Smith, David Hamilton, and Dennis and Karla Worley. Agnus Dei is a piece that choir director David Anavitarte calls a "gospel message in song."
"Our Christmas concert is important because it brings the birth of Christ to life," says Anivatarte. He’s not worried that his repeated choice for the concert will dissuade the audience from returning. Not only is Agnus Dei a challenging and inspirational piece; it has proved to be quite popular as well. "Music always changes," Anavitarte says. "Every time you hear it and every time you sing it."
