Enactus Wins Regionals, Goes on to Nationals
Southwestern Adventist University’s Enactus team went to the Regional Enactus Competition, hosted in the Marriott Hotel in Plano, Texas on Monday, April 10. The competition also included a job fair where students could talk with representatives from several companies including Walmart, Sam’s, Target, Enterprise Rental Car, and others. This enabled students to hold conversations with people who could help them with future internships, part-time or full-time jobs in the areas they were majoring in.
Students that attended the job fair from Southwestern also went to the competition to support Southwestern’s team. They could hear the participating students’ presentations that shared all the things Enactus has worked on throughout the year, and their trip to Honduras where the Enactus members helped those in need. One of their projects was helping the owners of Mountain Coffee, a small coffee shop in Keene, get their business to grow in that small town.
After making their presentation, the Enactus team gathered in the award room to hear that they were winners of League 2, which leads them to Nationals in Kansas City, Missouri on May 25.
Enactus encourages students to join the Enactus family where individuals can receive many opportunities that will lead them down the path to a better professional future.
