Students Volunteer to Help with Starfest
Starfest is a fun-filled event hosted by The City of Keene and the Southwestern Adventist University each Oct. 31. It provides an opportunity for the surrounding communities to come on our campus and enjoy a safe, fun Halloween night activity.
This year, the event included a variety of activities such as thrilling gymnastics shows, games, bounce houses and delicious food. The Southwestern staff and students look forward to showing the communities they care through service and outreach to the community.
Volunteers looked for different ways to help out at the event, including serving food, directing children through games and bounce houses, or having a word of prayer with anyone in need. Even though the students who volunteered were exhausted and it was a late night, those who came appeared to enjoy themselves, and are looking forward to another chance to participate in Starfest next year.
