First-in-Family Scholarship Deadline Approaches

The First-in-Family Scholarship was created to help students who are the first in their family to attend a college or university. This scholarship is funded by Southwestern’s annual golf tournament and will be awarded next school year. The criteria for the scholarship are as follows:

  • Financial Need
  • GPA 2.5 or above
  • First in your family to attend a university with the intent of completing a degree

The deadline to apply for this scholarship is March 29. If all three requirements are met, an application can be picked up in Duane Valencia’s office located in the Findley Building.

The scholarship amount will be determined after the golf tournament in April.
