Worship Activities Planned for Weekend
As the month of September comes to an end, all youth are invited to start the new month worshiping with Southwestern.
The weekend starts off with Friday night vespers. The guest speaker is Pastor Buz Mendhardt and vespers will start at 8 p.m. People are encouraged to come a few minutes early. When vespers ends, afterglow will be held at the Scales Hall pit. It will feature “behind the music” and great fellowship.
Saturday morning, Southwestern will continue its monthly tradition of Southwestern Sabbath. It is a church service held in Evans Hall for all young people. Worship starts at 10 a.m. with LIFE (Living In Faith Everyday) Sabbath school. The special service starts at 11:30 a.m. and Pastor Mendhardt will again be the guest speaker.
All people are invited to Saturday afternoon outreach with Southwestern. This week they will be going door to door in Keene handing out spiritual first-aid kits. The group meets outside the library steps at 2:45 p.m.
As Sabbath comes to a close, Evensong worship will be held in the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church sanctuary. For the month of October it will be held at 6:30 p.m. Come to worship God with scripture, prayer, responsive reading, and music.
